Chris Holland grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania, and began riding bikes earlier than he can remember. As a kid, he loved riding with his Aunt to McDonald’s. As far as miles go, it was a short trip, but traversing neighborhoods, fields, and a cemetery made it an epic ride full of adventure for the young cyclist.
Chris competed in his first race, the Presque Isle Time Trial, when he was in sixth grade.
As far as favorite places to ride go, Chris is democratic. For trails, he takes a “love the one you’re with” attitude, saying that his favorite is “any one I’m on.” For road riding, any back country road that isn’t flat suits him just fine.
