Nate Greene grew up around the corner from Joe’s Bike Shop in Mount Washington, so it comes as no surprise that he now cites “all things bike-related” as his passion.

Nate started working at Joe’s in May of 2011. He has been a counselor at Joe’s Mountain Bike Camp for the past two years, where he and the other counselors teach young riders basic bike maintenance and riding concepts. He’s also recently become a member of Joe’s Racing Team, and participated in his first race – the Highpoint CX Team Relay – this year.

Currently a sophomore at Johns Hopkins University, Nate has relocated from his childhood home around the corner from JBS to the school’s Homewood Campus. Nate’s parents, Luanne and Vince, are both Baltimore architects.

I love working at Joe’s for a number of reasons, but the one that excites me the most is the problem solving.  Doing repairs, fixing mysterious creaks, and figuring out better ways to do so are what give such a great sense of satisfaction at the end of the day.  That and the bikes… bikes are pretty cool too.
